The Call for Solidarity
University live brief: Design the branding for protest show.
The Call for Solidarity was a show prompted by the 200 year anniversary of the Peterloo massacre of 1819. Artists responded to the theme of protest. Most of the remaining records of the Peterloo massacre are newspapers from the time, and so in response I designed this contemporary newspaper-style handout. The content was created by art historians and artists from MMU. We also created a banner using stencil and spray-paint, and used vinyl lettering for the show description.
